If you are not paying attention, you might miss Taiyaki. Located on 294 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Taiyaki serves up Japanese soft serve ice cream in fun fish-shaped waffle cones!
I decided to try their Unicorn Taiyaki which is vanilla ice cream, rainbow sprinkles, a red bean cone and topped with an edible unicorn horn. Looks good right? Keep reading.
The Unicorn Taiyaki taste like it’s from your average neighborhood ice cream truck. There is nothing special about this soft serve. If you’re looking for an Instagrammable ice cream spot, this is the place for you. But if you’re looking to indulge in some delicious ice cream, this isn’t the place for you.
The ice cream parlor itself is quite small and narrow. Upon arriving, there were two people already inside, and no seats left. I would recommend trying this place on a weekday in the early afternoon if you’re looking to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere.
Perfect for an intimate ice cream date or casual outing with your girls, Taiyaki is social media worthy.
